Criteria

To be eligible for the Virginia Surgical Center Scholarship for Cancer Survivors, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a cancer survivor who has experienced hair loss as a result of treatment.
  2. Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college, university, or vocational program in the United States.
  3. Demonstrate academic achievement, leadership potential, and a commitment to overcoming challenges.
  4. Submit a compelling essay detailing your cancer journey, the impact of hair loss on your life, and how you plan to use education to empower yourself and others.
